homebrew-radios.net - Hobcat database browser setup
There is now no need for any set up procedures (other than downloading and installing Hobcat)
Hobcat uses MYDAC
components to connect to the remote database.
These are contained within the Hobcat.exe program file.
The server, login and password for the read-only database access are all fixed-coded
in Hobcat.exe.
( In
early development I used MYODBC which required installation together with the
Borland Database Engine.
This had problems on some machines. MYDAC is a much better solution)
A short password is needed to enter
the database browser.
This can be found in DBpassword.txt in the files sections of the homebrew-radios
and picastar-users yahoo groups.
